About David Bonal
David Bonal joined National Instruments after graduating from New Mexico Tech in 2000 with two bachelor’s degrees – one in electrical engineering and another in computer science. During David’s first year with the company, he provided technical support for the entire NI product line as an applications engineer. David then joined the Customer Education department, for which he developed technical training and taught hundreds of customers worldwide. Since Summer 2006, David has been working as a field engineer in New Mexico.
For years, David’s friends and family urged him to do work in radio or to be an announcer. David didn’t do much with voice over work until he got excited about doing voice overs when he took a vocal class in 2013 with Doug Geist, a Grammy winning sound engineer, at Santa Fe Center Studios. Doug was encouraging and provided professional guidance on how to create quality voice overs and deliver quality results to clients. David put his voice to work officially in 2014 by starting DavidBonal.com, LLC.
David enjoys technology, amateur radio, mountain biking, cooking, hiking, archeology, spending time with his wife, and enjoying the wonderful New Mexico climate and landscape.
